Christmas Carnival Fundraiser

The Christmas Carnival was a big success!! All of the kids had a great time and we managed to raise about $400 for the Belguim trip. Thanks to everyone for your donations!

YSU at OSU

Miss Angie, Miss Bridget, Miss Stacey, & Miss Sarah all had a great time at the YSU-OSU game. Miss Angie & Miss Sarah are in their 2nd year as a Penguinette, Miss Bridget in a senior cheerleader and Miss Stacey is the Penguinette Advisor.

Pizza Sale

The competition team will be selling pizza on Monday and Wednesday nights beginning Oct. 20 between 5:30-7:30p.m. We will also be selling coffee and cappuccino Monday-Thursday. Any money raised will be placed in the team account. We are looking for volunteers to help. We plan on having at least two people per night for one hour shifts or the entire two hours. A sign up sheet is posted at the studio on the front counter. Please contact Traci Petillo or Chastity Lewis for more info.

Fundraising Officers Being Elected

We will have a meeting on Thursday, October 9 at 5:30p.m to elect a fundraising committee. If you are interested in planning and running fundraisers, please attend. If you are unable to attend and want to be included on the committee, let me know. This meeting will only be to discuss the fundraisers and if you do not want to be on the committee, there is no need to attend.

Just to remind everyone that there are sign up sheets at the front desk for Cici Pizza. Please post any ideas that you have for individual account fundraisers so we can have some options.

Also, Whitney is selling Shining Stars pumpkins for Belgium. They are $7.00 and you can sign up at the studio for one.

This blog is going to be used to encourage, congratulate, and cheer on Shining Stars!! I want to post lots of pictures and information about cheerleaders, majorettes, feature twirlers, and the competition team. This site will also be used to keep updated information about fundraisers and other competition information.
